Very useful, easy to fit and manufacture Baton shelving
can be very strong and all batons and shelves can be painted or if you are
particularly neat at joinery varnished.
The Batons can be made with any appropriate size of
timber, generally we have used 21x45mm redwood dressed. Likewise material for
the shelves can be made from various materials, Contiboard, MDF and Braelum
Pineboard. For large desktop shelves we would recommend 25mm thickness for
rigidity although it is also possible to brace 18mm shelving to make it
more rigid. |
